Today in Human Geography, we mainly discussed globalization. Globalization is a connection with different parts of the world. We talked about how American influence is spread across the world. An example of this is McDonald’s which is in many different countries. Even though it is in different countries they still have mostly the same menu. Like you were saying in Japan they may have some sushi, but otherwise there food mostly consist of burgers and fries. When McDonald’s went global, it changed the healthy living style in China. Before McDonald’s, they were the healthiest countries in the world. Their food mainly consisted of fish, vegetables, and rice. It also disrupted some of the Chinese customs to. They used to all eat meals together and have certain ways of eating and drinking food, but because of McDonalds, they can just grab food and go. This just shows us how much of an influence the US has on many counties.
